A Trip Down Memory Lane

  1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
  2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It will be fun to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments or send you an email.

I think this could be a lot of fun. It is hard for me to just put one memory about some people, but I'll try not to ramble on and on too much!

So many memories- I love how you always made really cool birthday cakes, sewed beautiful Easter dresses, would let me blast MC Hammer in the car and you are the best cook ever!

So when you flipped that guy off was the funniest thing ever I still laugh when I think about it. I loved those summers I spent in California. Remember when someone convinced me and Julie we could get moon burns. I also will never forget your guacamole, the best I have ever had. I love you so much thanks for the great summers.

Okay, it's hard to think of just one but driving around half the evening looking for an address is one that sticks out! I'm grateful you got a GPS! Seems like we had the wrong street name, didn't we??? Oh well, the time we spent together was fun no matter what the situation. Thanks for being my friend! Love, Kathy

I remember when you used to make lunch for anyone who wanted to come on Fridays when we got out of school early! You helping me get everything ready the day before Ava was born and all the time we spent driving back and forth to the hospital so I could feed her. I also remember going to practically every doctors appointment you had while pregnant with Becca. I was so fascinated with the whole process. Thanks so much for sharing that with me!

I loved to hear you talk like Donald Duck! I always wanted to be able to do it as well as you could.

I love all the times we practiced and practiced then performed together-- especially when you happened to have brownies baking during practice time, and I just happened to not get tired until they were done...

Also, when you brought over the Halloween shirt and hat, right after Ethan was born, and the lotion for me. It was a truly kind gesture I won't forget. You always know how to make me feel special!

i remember the time i had just had surgery on my leg and came to stay with you guys while my parents were out of town. i woke up in the middle of the night with an itchy leg in my cast and i knocked on the walls just like you told me to do when i needed something. and you came right in to help me out. you have always been so charitable!

I have so many, but I will always remember one time when Katie and I were walking home from high school for lunch (to Westport) and you pulled up behind us to give us a ride and said "I knew it was you guys from your big hair!". Ha ha.

I always think of your family when we order Hawaiian pizza, too :-)

I loved sitting our on the lawn on summer nights with "the gang" and just being together. Those couple of years were the best of my young adult life. It set the stage for moving back to Tennesse and meeting Duane. I was the old lady of the group but I always felt a part of your lives no matter what we were doing. I will cherish those times together forever!

Wow Karla.. How are you??? recently I was just thinking of Corcoran California.. I was wondering what the building looked like.. How it has held up.. and then on facebook one night I contacted Katie.. What a walk doen memory lane.. and she sent me to her blog.. which turned out to be wonderful.. I got to see what all my friends and young women are up to.. and the fact that they keep in touch is wonderful.. My first memory of you was dinner at your house.. You made a fresh Spinach Salad.. I had never had it.. I was so nervous to eat it.. but I did (so I would not look ungrateful) and loved it.. I eat it all the time now.. haha I hope you are doing well.. love your blog.. I love how honest everyone is on these blogs.. it makes it so much fun to learn that no matter what we are never alone in our troubles.. Mine is lifeislivedinmoments.blogspot.com I have only blogged for a year.. but I really enjoy it. I hope you will enjoy mine like I have enjoyed seeing all of yours.. Carrie Peterson
