Celebrity Portrait
Look who came to my school today! And was kind enought to pose for a picture with me. I love reading, and I love Dr. Seuss books. This was certainly the highlight of the day.
What a darling picture. Don't you love those "Reading Around the World" days that they have at elementary school? I remember how much you love reading--always a great example for us slackers!
how fun! My work just did a skills update day where everything was themed around dr. suess. I had never even heard of some of the books, but will always be a dr suess fan.
What fun! At our school if they earned 5 AR points they were able to have their picture taken with my big 'Cat in the Hat" stuffed animal while they held their favorite Dr. Seuss book. They would have loved the real thing but they are easy to please. They had a really fun month with several different reading activities.
I love Dr. Seuss. I loved reading them to my kids and now my grandkids. I'm glad I saved them-at least the ones that were saveable after going through five children.
I have learned that it is the non-material things in life that matter: how much we love, family, relationships, love of God, and living the way He wants us to - that is all we will take with us when we go to meet our Father in Heaven after this life. I live with my husband, Rod. We have been married for 9 wonderful years, but have over 60 years of marital experience between us. I have 3 very special daughters that are the joy of my life. I have 5 lively grandchildren whom I love immensely. I am lucky enough to be married to my soul mate. We enjoy many of the same things, but have our individual strengths to complement each other. In fact, I love any time I can spend with him. I love to read and watch movies. My joy in life is my family. I enjoy the luxuries of life and have an abundance of the necessities, too. Truly my cup runneth over!

How very exciting, though I must wonder if he frightened the kids at all-- he looks a bit scary to me! :)
